Craobh Chualann exists to enrich the lives of its members and the wider community by cultivating appreciation for the music, language and literature of Ireland. The club is a branch of Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann, the organisation which has promoted Irish music and the Irish language, nationally and internationally, since 1951.

Membership is drawn primarily from the area between the mountains and the sea in South County Dublin but we have valued members in many different parts of Ireland and overseas. New members, of all ages and musical ability, are always welcome.

Members (and non-members) who would like to develop their musical knowledge or their knowledge of Irish, are welcome to enroll for classes organized on Friday evenings. Classes take place at An Chultúrlann, Belgrave Square, Monkstown – in the heart of the community that we serve. For directions to An Chultúrlann, click here.

Likewise, if you are visiting our area and would like to come and listen to traditional music or if you are a musician (whether classically trained or brought up in the traditional music of a country other than Ireland) who would like to share an evening of music with us, you are particularly welcome. Please contact us to let us know of your proposed visit.
